How Xchange Enhances Liquid Aeration of Your Lawn

Liquid aeration is a popular technique used on lawns to promote healthy, green grass. What is Liquid Aeration?

Liquid aeration is a process that keeps soil from getting too compacted, which in turn allows for water and air to reach your soil more effectively. If the soil under your lawn becomes compacted, the nutrients needed to keep your grass green will have a more difficult time being absorbed, resulting in brown and dying lawns. Mechanical aeration was at one time a popular procedure but this process is time consuming and not as efficient as liquid aeration because mechanical applications can only poke holes in the soil at three or four inch intervals. Liquid aeration allows for every square inch of compacted soil to be aerated.

Xchange

Xchange was developed as a way to reduce soil compaction in a much better and faster method than mechanical aeration. When Xchange is used, microscopic pores are created in the soil which causes the soil to act like a sponge when exposed to moisture. This process is much more effective than poking larger holes into the ground sporadically — as seen in mechanical aeration — because smaller holes throughout the soil are better for water flow. Xchange also improves water retention because of the sponge-like nature of the process; water is held in places where lawns need the most moisture. As a result of better water retention, less lawn watering is required, saving you money. The grass will not dry out as fast when there is moisture in the soil. As a result, you will not need a heavy schedule of lawn watering during the hot summer months. Your lawn roots will also be healthier because they will be able to grow deeper and stronger because they are not being impeded by compacted soil.
